The New Strategies Forum is a four-day, three-night intensive management education experience focusing on how nonprofit organizations can develop and sustain strong, viable links to the business community.
Led by a team of leading authorities on corporate philanthropy and private sector social investing, the conference gives attendees practical, how-to-do-it input on scouting out corporate prospects and crafting funding opportunities that have the highest odds for success. See the conference curriculum and the topics covered.
The Forum is open only to nonprofits sponsored by corporations or foundations. Sponsors provide selected organizations with designated charitable contributions that are used to offset all costs associated with the Forum (air/land travel, housing, instruction, materials, events, etc.). See our Q&As for companies and foundations and Q&As for nonprofits.
Over 100 nonprofit organizations have participated in earlier Forums. Forum graduates have leveraged information from the Forum to generate substantially higher levels of cash and product support from corporations. Others have instituted cause-marketing campaigns and company employee engagement strategies developed during the program.
Charleston, South Carolina is the venue for New Strategies. CondéNast and other travel publications consistently rate Charleston as among the top 10 travel destinations in America. Travel & Leisure ranks it as "America's Friendliest City." The Forum is in a prime location and includes networking events at some of Charleston's most historic landmarks.
